How do I use this website? ^ back to top of page

You can move around our site by clicking the links at the top and to the side of each page. Each link will take you to a different section of the site. But don't worry! You will find links along the way to help and guide you. We invite you to explore our site and discover the many things it has to offer. Here are just a few of the things you'll find you can do:
  • browse the information in the different categories of our 'Articles & Resources' section
  • discuss topics and/or exchange goods (clothing, furniture, children's items, etc.) with other members at our online community
  • enter our competitions to win prizes
  • submit comments, experiences, photos etc. for our Reader's Gallery
  • look up Places of Interest and/or Local Events for Essex and North East London

How do I join the online community? ^ back to top of page

Please don't fear the sign-up process! It sounds MUCH more complicated than it REALLY is (and if you don't sign up, you'll miss out on all the fun)! We've devised the following guide to take you through the process step-by-step. You can even print a copy of the guide to keep nearby as you go through each step. It's that simple!
  • STEP ONE: click the Register Your Free Account link. This link can be found at the top of the online community.
  • STEP TWO: select the type of account you would like to register (we reccommend selecting the Global Account option) and click the appropriate link.
  • STEP THREE: Fill out the USER REGISTRATION form and click the REGISTER MY GLOBAL ACCOUNT button.

    PLEASE NOTE: It's best to use an alias when creating your username (instead of using your real name). You may need to choose a different username if the username you want is already registered by another user.

    Upon clicking the REGISTER MY GLOBAL ACCOUNT button, you will be taken to a REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION page which will confirm the creation of your new account and will notify you that you will receive an account validation email.

  • STEP FOUR: Check the email account which you used when registering your account for an "ezboard.com account validation instructions" email. Open the email and follow the instructions. You will then be taken to an ezboard page which congratulates you on the validation of your new account and offers you the option to LOGIN to your new account.

  • STEP FIVE: LOGIN to your new account by using the link provided on the ezboard account validation page or by using the LOGIN link at the top of the online community.
That's it! You are now ready to participate in our online community!


What name can I use for the
online community?

It's best to use an alias when creating a username for the online community (rather than using your real name). You may choose to use a nickname or a combination of descriptive items about yourself (example: StayAtHomeMom)... it's really up to you!


How do I make a post? ^ back to top of page

To make a post in a current topic:
  • Click the REPLY button at the top or bottom of the current topic.
  • Type your response in the COMMENT box.
  • Click the ADD REPLY button to post your reply.

    NOTE: You can also check the PREVIEW box before clicking ADD REPLY to see a preview of your post before it is posted to the online community.


How do I start a new topic? ^ back to top of page

To start a new topic:
  • Click the NEW TOPIC button at the top or bottom of a forum (i.e. General Discussion).
  • Type a title for your topic in the SUBJECT box.
  • Type your comment or question in the COMMENT box.
  • Click the ADD POST button to post your new topic.

    NOTE: You can also check the PREVIEW box before clicking ADD POST to see a preview of your post before it is posted to the online community.

How do I change a post I've already posted? ^ back to top of page

To edit a post you've already made:
  • Locate the post you wish to edit.
  • Click the EDIT link below your username (on the left side of the screen).
  • Edit your previously posted comment or question in the COMMENT box.
  • Click the EDIT POST button to edit your post.

    NOTE: You can also check the PREVIEW box before clicking EDIT POST to see a preview of your edited post before it is posted to the online community.


How do I delete a post I've already posted? ^ back to top of page

To delete a post you've already made:
  • Locate the post you wish to delete.
  • Click the DEL link below your username (on the left side of the screen).
  • You will be asked to confirm your delete. If you wish to proceed, click the YES button.
